dear viewers,
in light of the recent developments that enhanced the certainty that Cebu City will finally have a modern, efficient, people-friendly, environmentally-sustainable, and socially inclusive, public urban mass transportation soon, in the form of the first ever Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in the country, i have decided to create this site to consolidate updates on the proposed Cebu-BRT project.
we are already beyond the proposal stage, we are actually going into the nitty-gritty project study and development stage, and there is much to be done even in the realm of public awareness and acceptability. in the next few months, we will be going into technical studies and evaluation, as well as development organization, to streamline project development. i have thought of this site as a place where news reports and updates will be posted and possibly where public discussions can be entertained.
we are not ready yet, for the kind of medium to be used, or the kind of discussion forum to be employed, a lot of things have to be resolved. even for this site, i have not made up my mind as to whether to make this a blog site, or a forum site (possibly, Wordpress or SMF will do). so in the meantime, this will be an SMF site but closed to registration. many of the discussions coming from my end will have to be done at the SkyscraperCity (http://skyscrapercity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=876), just locate Philippine Forums - Cebu City and Province Thread (SSC-Cebu). later we will have to decide the form of this website. your comments/suggestions would be most welcome (please post them at SSC-Cebu).
sorry if this site is closed for registration for now. i will just be posting updates.
we will announce later once we have decided what kind of web presence we want.
